Amerysk Words II from 'Snaekk and Skryf Amerysk'

From 'Snaekk and Skryf Amerysk' by Paal-Eirik Filssunu

TELLING TIME
In Amerykan, there are two ways of telling time, and this of course is due to two forms of words representing Hour, Minute and Second.

INTERNATIONAL FORMS
UR hour MYNUT minute SEKOND second

this form of Time wordage has no plural, thus twae ur means either "2 o'clock" or "two hours".

TIME READING EXAMPLE: 12:04:38 twaelf ur fjør mynut aegtaandthrytig sekond

FOLK RECKONING
TYMSTUND (TS) hour TYMSTØKKE (TK) minute TYMSTØKKLING (TL) second

This version is of course non-Latin, and is of course longer in form, though to some speakers it is more popular to use. The abbreviations TS, TK and TL are used in writing so as not to take up too much time!

TIME READING EXAMPLE: 12:04:38 twaelf tymstund fjør tymstøkkan aegtaandthrytig tymstøkklingasWritten also as 12ts 04tk 38tl (folk reckoning) or 12ur 04m 38s (international)
